Supporting the long-term development of the communities where we operate is a core part of our Responsible Business approach. Since the beginning of our operations in Nicaragua—and as we expanded into new jurisdictions—we have prioritized building strong, collaborative relationships with neighboring communities.
Guided by our “Good Neighbour” philosophy and our Stakeholder Engagement Plans, we work with communities to identify priorities and implement initiatives that create meaningful and lasting benefits. Our approach focuses on partnerships, local participation, and investments that contribute to sustainable development over the short, medium, and long term.
Through strategic social programs aligned with local development priorities, we focus on initiatives that strengthen education, support local livelihoods, improve community infrastructure, promote health and well-being, and inspire environmental stewardship. We also seek to contribute to local economic growth by maximizing opportunities for local employment and procurement.
