In response to the global pandemic in 2020, Polaris prioritized the health and safety of its employees, contractors, and communities across its operational sites in Nicaragua, Peru, and Canada. The company implemented a comprehensive COVID-19 prevention plan that included mandatory mask usage, daily temperature checks, enhanced sanitation protocols, and the limitation of site access to essential personnel only. Polaris also introduced educational initiatives to promote health awareness among its workforce and vendors. In Nicaragua, the company established a fully equipped base camp to ensure that employees could quarantine safely if required. Additionally, Polaris extended its support to local communities by providing essential medical supplies and food baskets to those most vulnerable during the crisis. These measures reflect Polaris’ dedication to ensuring a safe working environment and its proactive approach to protecting all stakeholders during unprecedented challenges.
