Denise Parada is Vice President, Corporate Communications at Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. She joined Polaris in December 2020 and is responsible for leading Finance Transformation initiatives, including all aspects of the implementation of a new ERP system and related information technology tools. She also works closely with Senior Management and the Board of Directors on corporate communications, corporate governance, HR& sustainability matters and strategic initiatives.

Denise has held various progressive positions in audit, advisory, accounting, policy development, compliance and financial reporting, the most recent of which was for a TSX-listed company in the precious metals sector with a $6 billion market capitalization.

In addition, Denise currently serves on the Board of Directors of SEEDS — Supporting Every Eve’s Daughter Safely — a registered charity that provides long-term, comprehensive support to women survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. She previously served on the Board of Directors and as Chair of the Governance Committee at Sojourn House, a non-profit organization that provides emergency shelter, transitional housing and other services to newly arrived refugees.

Denise holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) from CPA Ontario. She is bilingual in Spanish and English.
